Folk artist Odetta Gordon decides to get a bit funky, but only on the B-side.  The song itself about holding onto one's individualism.

CHEATERS GUIDE: A funkier-with-horn-section version can be found on the Mojo Club: Dancefloor Jazz Vol. 4 comp CD on Polygram Germany.  The version on the 45 is more folk-oriented, with the rhythm guitar pushed back and no horn section.  CD version has two seconds of studio chatter (engineer asks "okay?", Odetta replies "okay") and a slightly different drum fill before the actual break.
